My S10 has been doing well, but it did get a underbody treatment when it was new back in 03, here in 14 I'm looking at doing some spot blasting and some re-treatment...

ETA: we pack the roads with salt here, to the point of salt dust storms :lol:

Rust belt is right. My 05 Yukon XL is showing serious rust issues at the bottoms of the doors. Plus other mechanical issues. Man, autos are such a sore spot for me. They really seem to be trouble, short and long term.

I use a product called Fluid Film in those doors and tailgates and other sheet metal seams. Its relatively cheap, environmentally friendly, and works like a miracle product. No rust on my trucks sheet metal. Takes about 10 minutes to apply every year. I usually keep my vehicles for at least 10 years before I replace em and put over 200k miles on em.
