Torture is never necessary. Don’t need to mess around with all that fruity torture stuff. When you catch a bad guy, you shoot him in the head. Eventually, attrition will reduce the number of bad guys to zero.

Yeah, but with torture you can catch a lot more bad guys to shoot in the head!

I realize Sen. McCain needs to get attention to his qualifications to be our next President, but this is just fluff.

Anytime a Senator introduces a bill amongst great fanfare that merely makes it illegal to break existing law he is priming the pump for a campaign.

I am disappointed in the waste of time and energy represented.

Sen. McCain is a RINO. He is not even well thought of in his own state, of which I happen to live. The torture issue is one wholly made up by elites and the media. Hey, we DO NOT saw off heads and video tape it. That's what we are dealing with. Face it.

Yes, John MCain was tortured and has horrible memories, I'm sure of it. That does NOT mean we (US)endorse it. Why not just let the enemy know what all our plans are? Gee whiz, have we gone that far, over the hill?

Besides, they (enemy) play with a different set of rules. Ignore them and we will die by them- Kapeesh!

The Illegal Alien issue will be his downfall.

GWB has heard the outcry and appears to be doing something. Too late-yes.

McCain is pandering, within AZ, and other border states. It's going to bite him in the $%%&.

ditto DJ; Lost respect for McCain a number of years ago -- was living in AZ. Be a toss up if I had to joke between him or Hillary. Witch one goes around being someone they are not? Both!

now SBN, haven't I asked for a warning about noisy links?

The administration needs to get behind this. As a nation we ought to publicly oppose torture. They (those entrusted with our National Security) need to do what they need to do and some of it we shouldn't know about.

You gotta learn to use cognitive dissonance to your advantage.

Whats that thing growing out of the left side of his face? I think he needs to get it checked.

Question: If torture does not work, why is there a "Ticking Timebomb" clause?

Defining torture is too subjective.

I'd just as soon have Hillary for president as McCain. The man is a dangerous fruitcake. The communists must have done something to his mind.

McCaine is a moron too. Remember "campaign finance reform (the McCaine/fiengold bill)?
It outlaws freedom of speech. McCaine wipes with the constitution at every opportunity.
He has one overwhelming desire -- to be president. He, like clinton, will say, do, or sign anything that he thinks will help him in 2008. But i predict he will be the first one shot-down in the primaries.

Say, DJ. I have seen you call McCain a RINO twice now. What is a RINO?

As someone said, the vietnamese torture worked. It still affects his judgment. He is still sympathizing with the enemy. just my 2cts worth.I guess what Im saying is Stockholm Syndrome seems to still be in affect.

"Republican in name only... ...JK"

Okay. That makes sense.

I am not going to bash the man. I like his independence. He sure as heck isn't a Democrat.

I don't like this bill. I think it is a play for publicity, but I admit it might be sincere.
