Emptied contents of mine yesterday. Opened the single point drain on the block as its supposed to get near freezing at the end of the week. Gotta get ahold of the marina to get into the queue.

Also need to get some vermin repellent as storage location has had a mouse problem recently....neighborhood cats are getting lazy...

for the pontoon:
changed the oil, lower unit, pulled the plugs and fogged the cylinders.
replaced plug receptacle, replaced transducer as the depth sounding had stopped working on my new Garmin Echo....I hope it's the transducer.
Greased prop shaft, cover re-secured, poles up, anti-moisture bucket opened, batteries off.........sucks.

Pulled the neighbors pontoon and got it in his shed, left me to put my pontoon on the trailer in the dark with a stiff cross breeze. Dock is out it's over see you in May.

Ok I’ll try it your way lol
A buddy of mine is a lefty and uses the rod upside down because he has a cheap real that he can’t change the handle on. He’s put that same reel on 3 new rods now and claims a massive fish keeps breaking his rod. I know for a fact that one of those fish was his tail gate as his neighbor told me she saw it happen but he won’t confess 😂

Winterized the boat this weekend. As I get older, it’s getting harder and harder to do this myself. Even after adding draining plugs to the PS cooler and the large water pump hose, draining the block- and getting the plugs back in - is getting harder and harder.

I don’t like the looks of an outboard on a bowrider, but I am starting to wish I had one…

View attachment 40302120241027_143137.jpgwell... I think today would be my last trip out, at least to get wet. Still mid 80's but by Halloween it usually gets cold. Water was 75 and smooth. They do a Xmas parade at night with lights on the boats here. I might participate this year

The dealership called yesterday to let me know my boat is winterized and shrinkwrapped and ready for winter. Will be picking the boat up later this week to take to winter storage. Now, just waiting for next season.

Called the marina and will be dropping it off Halloween morning as they're taking all comers. At least it gets out of my yard for the kids to trick or treat.

Admiral and I already agreed we'd use the boat more next season - won't say we used a whopping tank of gas this year. In all my years of boating, that's the least I've used it in a season.

I generally try to wait until the leaves are colorful, take a cruise around the lake then put the old girl to bed. :)
