Not quick enough for me...very depressing to think boating season is almost over !I'm in Tennessee and I'd love to use the Ebbtide 2660 through October and maybe into November but TVA drops Chickamauga by 6' and the drop is already under way. The problem is that with the water down it is real easy to back the trailer off the end of the ramp and my Ebbtide trailer has to be put in really deep to load and launch the boat. The "END" of the season doesn't have to just be a freeze thing. I do have a 17' Lowe tin bass boat that I fish out of and that is about to get started after the heat of summer. Everyone be safe and hopefully spring 2025 will get here quick enough.
80 would be the warmest day of the year here in Ireland! I guess it's all relative. We always pull out at the end of October. Temps will be down to 50 by then... 5mm wetsuits all season is the norm...Ill be parking the Four Winns after today... We ran it down on fuel (to an estimated 1/4 tank or so) today and had a great time on the lake with it.... we have the Galaxy for the next couple of weeks here that still has a bit of fuel in it to burn off....
Next weekend, Ill go through and winterize the one boat though... we are fair weather boaters here... once it gets below an average of 80, the wife no longer considers it pleasurable, so we call that the end of the season.... we went pretty long this year though, all things considered...
Must be the saddest day of the year !Todays the day, time to put her to bed.
it was, it was a beautiful day to winterize a boat, it was also a beautiful day to go for a ride had it still been in the water, but we have some cold coming next week so im glad to be done with it.Must be the saddest day of the year !
