Re: The Crawdad

Wood,

They did not melt! I don't know what I did wrong. I covered them in a old coffee can, and poured the spirits over them.

I checked them after about an hour and the had not begun to dissolve.

Dave

Gotta run to work, I'll be back tomorrow.

Ok, I forgot to tell you to smash em with a hammer into as small of pieces as possible. It can take a while for em to melt into a sludge. Keep the can covered so the acetone doesn't evaporate.

Re: The Crawdad

Here are a few photos of my repair work (in progress) Basically a test.

White patches are Attwood Epoxy Putty. Dried/ Adhered nicely to the hull. White paint is that As seen on TV crap Flex Seal. Its the one where the guy makes the bottom of his boat out of a window screen coated in this stuff.

I kinda of like it, it is spray rubber and it sticks very nicely to the Ram-X material of the hull.

Re: The Crawdad

This shows where the holes and some deep gouges were.

More close up.

Looks like I shoved bubblegum into the hole.:D

First coat of the Rubber sealant (paint).

Texture Shot.

Well that's about it. I think it is going to work out so I am going to keep going as I have begun.

Any thoughts?

Little more close up.

even closer photo, you can start to see texture on the rubber (paint).

A little more.

2 or 3 coats in this corner, as a test to see sealant would stick to the Ram-X material. It does.
