Here we are, a group of friends in 2 boats (both mid 80's Wellcraft Nova's), enjoying a bright sunny day on the Niagara River. My buddy took his group for a fast run down river, my group and I sat drifting for a little while up river.
Then it happened all at once, coming out of the the Little River from the Erie Canal were maybe 40 Go Fast Offshore boats heading straight for us. Luckily as the wall of boats coming head on, they started to split us down the middle. Talk about goose bumps!
Then a second wave of 40 or so came. By this time the water is waking maybe 2 to 3 feet, as the second wave passed we were up to 4 and 5 foot wakes and rocking bad. Just wish I was fast and smart enough to get the camera out!!:facepalm:
It was an awesome experience though.
Totally forgot it was the 2013 Buffalo Poker Run weekend.
