Temperature switch installation qustion 3.0 90 deg looper

Installing a reman powerhead, and tranferring my 2 temp switches (brown/ tan), and the old ones had a "grease", in the cavity, probably for heat transfer.

My Selco manual does not mention this.

Is there a special grease for this? is there a recommendation.

Probably more for corrosion since they sit inside the head or block and heat is readily available. Use a marine grade grease that wont emulsify with water.
