I'm afraid I have you all beat. My current boat is a 1942 Welin with a Kermath 8 hp 2 cyl. inboard. These pics are from a couple of weeks ago. She is coming along nicely now. She should be water ready in two more paydays.

once upon a time I would have been a close second.... I had a plywood boat manufactured by the Clyde boat company at the end of WW II 1945 for the us government.... It's interior actually was not completely finished because the war ended. It had a 1936 ford flathead v8 60 hp in it.... MAN O MAN did I mess up when I sold it CHEAP... It had been in a barn for over 30 years and had a 1920' dodge car frame for a trailer... I owned it in about 1994 and actually got it running with nothing more than wd40, a battery, gas, and a fuel pump from jc whitney. It was a classic runabout with the front seat separated from the rear.... sure wish I still had it.

Mine is a 77 Glastron V-162 futura with 70hp Johnson. $200 and an old 8hp made the old guy happy to give me the keys. My two boys are happy as can be!

We have a !981 Bayliner Monterey 2350 Sunbridge. The best part is it was free $3,300 worth of repairs ago

Home built from set of pre-cut steel plates over four years and launched in 1987. Still going strong. Total build cost using mainly secondhand parts and equipment ?20,000 (about US $30,000).
First pic is delivery day. (Pic in mono as magazine I was writing for still hadn't got round to using colour).
Second pic cruising at ten knots in the English Channel. Pic' taken from Coastguard helicopter on exercise after they had dropped crewman on deck from the winch.

So what's the point of this thread? Just taking up bandwidth.....who cares how old your boat is? It's yours and satisfies your requirements, one would think or you would replace it......
