Tell Tail pressure difference

Have twin 2018 Yamaha 200HP four stroke which have good tell tail pressure and equal temperature while in the water. However, the port engine tell tail has always had good pressure when being flushed but the Starboard engine has always had a weak stream when being flushed but a strong stream otherwise. What might cause the different tell tail pressure only while being flushed? No water is visible under the cowling when flushing.

As to a possible cause, could just be a variation in a hose. A difference in a fuel cooler. Or a pipe from the lower unit.

I might think about taking the tell tale hose off at its source on the engine..check for any salt deposit build up. Had the very same thing on a smaller yam recently. Engine wasn't overheating, just a weaker tell tale than it should be...Was just a little tiny bit sitting there. pees like a race horse now !

If one could look at pressures and temperatures to a fine enough degree one would find that two of the exact same model won't be operating exactly the same. Which is why most motor makers provide a range for data.

Does the peeing port has a plastic ending ? if so, poke the plastic red cannula found in WD-40, carb cleaners, decarbonizer sprays in/out severeal times, probably it's bit clogged. If the rear tell tale's water hose connects somewhere to the lower block remove it and poke in/out same cannula, with use especially with salt water will find a partial clog there. Perform both procedures on both motors.

Motors are reported to be peeing just fine when underway. If the tell tale port was clogged one might think that would not be the case.

Water is taking a circuitous route from the water pump to the tell take exit port. Easily disrupted such that the flow from two side by side motors might not be similar.

Guess I didn't make myself real clear. When the boat is in the water and the engines are idling or on plane both tell tails are the same. It is only when the starboard engine is being flushed that the tell tail is weak.

you still have not said how you are flushing the motors

How I flush each engine. Have a"Y" valve that has two short pieces of hose attached. One side of the "Y" goes to the ear muffs the other side is quick connected to the flushing hose under the cowling. The garden hose is attached to the "y", the water pressure at the hose end is 42 PSI. Flush for at least two minutes before flushing with Salt Away. How I flush the engines may be over kill to some but It has worked for me. Don't run the engine while flushing. If there is a better way please share.

using both and running the motor would be a good idea.
the motor warms up and stat opens to help remove salt from all passages
