Son wants get into spear fishing - this little 17' boat could serve him well in San Diego. Neighbor is selling it for $750 with trailer. I can wrench on cars and have become familiar with seadoos,

Says this needs a water pump and carburetor. Interior is decent. I was going to check the compression #1. After that, any suggestions?

HOw can I identify the motor? Is this water pump going to be an issue to find and/or replace?
