I have a 91 evinrude 90 hp the tach isnt working on the dash. I have a new spare tach that I would like to hook up straight to the motor. can someone tell me how to make this hookup just to test it. thanks
Connect it to the battery, pos and neg. Then connect the send post to one of the yellow wires coming from the stator. You might want to check your charging system first. If its shot, then usually the tach will not work.
