Tachometer was working with 140 v-4 and now GT150

Tachometer was working with 140 v-4 and now GT150. Will I be getting a different reading from the tach? Will there need to be an adjustment made to the tach? Thanks and I'll have more question later.

jelbass, just make sure the switch on the back of the tach is set to the #6 position and you should be good to go!

Agreed with the previous post...put the tach on #6 and you should be good to go. I personally have a gt150. Love that engine. You'll love the power..but it's a gas and oil hog.

Both engines use a 12 pole alternator, which is the 6 setting on the tach. You should not need to change anything with the new engine.
