tachometer not working

Well the switch problem is fixed and now its on to the next. My tachometer is not working and dont have a clue. I looked at the wiring and it all looks ok. any suggestions? <br /> Thanks T

This might be an engine wiring problem. What engine is it?<br />Are we talking I/O or just and O/B engine?

The motor is a 2000 Johnson 90 hp. I guess i'll have to get the tester back out.
