Tach settings 115 merc.

It is a Teleflex Tach.<br />On the back it as a switch to select different signals? What should it be set at for a merc. inline 6? It is now set at 32.<br />Thanks

Maybe "12" for 12-pole alternator? Not sure what motor would use the '32' setting???!<br /><br />Were there any instructions with the tach to explain what each of the settings were?

I'd say 12 too. Unless the tach has "strange" encription of the pole settings. <br /><br />-W

I will give to a try. The motor that was on the boat before I bought it was a 140 hp johnson.<br />Thanks

Tach works great. Must admit that looked at the back of the tach wrong. The 32 was actually a 12.<br />I even had my glasses on.<br />Thanks for all the help.
