Tach Question on 81, 75hp Johnson

What is the tach connected to on a 1981 Johnson 75hp Seahorse? The motor has a autopilot control box. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Don't know about a autopilot control box, but the tach should hook uo to a gray wire in the harness.

Here is the diagram for an OMC box, the harness I believe should be the same, might not be a bad idea to compare the internals of your box to the diagram here and see how similar they are, if they are the same then just keep this one handy and roll with it.
