Unfortunately I must be very general since adequate info was not available!

Question: What would be an approximate value of a Switzer hull about 18 feet long, year unknown? It must be relatively old since the gel-coat is well oxidised. No seats, helm and cable need replacing, bow light missing, no engine. Windshield ok. Transom built up 2 inches.

Were these hulls really a decent go-fast boat? Kind-of "geeky" looking, yet low and fast too. Did they have a decent reputation?

Re: Switzer speedboat

I grew up on the Fox Chain of Lakes and the Fox River. Switzer boats were built about 10 mi. away in Crystal Lake Illinois.

Way back in the day, while I was in HS if you were on "the Chain" and wanted to go fast there were 2 choices. Switzercraft and Hustler. Hustler Boat Co. was located in McHenry Illinois were I went to school. Both were great, fast boats in the day. Then Donzi showed up!
