Switching out fuse block on Lowe boat

I bought a new fuse block to replace old one. The new has a place to hook ground the old one doesnt. My question if I have to run new ground should it come from battery?

Yes. That's where ground originates.

Look under the dash for a ground buss. Nothing would work without a ground back to the battery, you just have to find it. Either keep using it or transfer the ground wire from the battery over to the new fuse block.

Ground is just as important as the supply in a DC circuit. Daisy chaining to an existing ground connections is not a “best practice” solution.

Always run a new buss ground back to the battery.
