I purchased a DT75 Suzuki from a friend of mine, low hrs.Put it on my 17ft.mako.I wanted to keep my Morse controls on boat, and not have to use the Suzuki side controls.I thought it would be easy to take the Suzuki controls apart and put the ignition switch and tilt and trim switch on the console. It was easy to do,just so many wires,I hooked up the wires and tried to start and even use the tilt and trim and nothing.Question is MAYBE THERE IS A SHUT OFF SWITCH IN THE OLD CONTROLS,OR DO i HAVE TO USE THE CONTROLS FOR THIS MOTOR?jEFF!

Re: Suzuki Controls.

Use the controls that are with the suzuki engine. I had the same problems. th thing is, if you start the engine some wires get a + and at the same time some wires get a -. It's not a normal starting procedure. Very weird stuff. I put on the original in the boat and it run direct.

If the morse cabels dont fit, you can the ends of the wire for Suzuki. So you dont have too buy the hole cables.

I hoop it helped u.
