ARRGHHHH!!!!!!!!! I found this AWESOME deal on some helper springs (Supersprings) for my Jeep. I got them for $150 shipped to my door when they retail for $287... I called, ordered, paid everything for these - excitedly looking forward to getting them.

Went out to my Jeep... COIL SPRINGS IN THE REAR!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Ended up calling and cancelling the order.

Anyone interested in some Superspring Model SSA1's email me, kanesean at gmail dot com - I'll let you know what the distributor's name is.

Here is a sizing chart:

http://www.supersprings.com/applications.html

Sean

Double DOH!

Ya didn't check first? :p :p :D How long have ya owned the Jeep and didn't know they are coil suspension? :p :p :D

Cool you were able to cancel the order before it was shipped or billed.

No harm done. Installing new, heavier springs aren't that tough. Are you sure you need them? Look at tag on the door jam and see what your GVWR says for front and back.

I tow my baby with my wife's '95. I'll check and see what hers says when she gets home.

Have you looked into air bladders? I used to have a 1997 F150. I installed air helper springs (air bladders) so I could carry construction materials for contracting jobs. You could inflate them from underneath the bumper with an air compressor. Or you could install an onboard compressor to power them. I don't know if they make them for Jeeps. Might be worth looking into.

Very nice link Spinner! That's both easier and cheaper than new springs. Won't affect the ride as greatly either. I may have to try those on our GC. Thanks!

I have a friend that used air shocks, add pressure for load reduce pressure for normal ride.

Yeah... I'm an idiot. What I was doing (AND DON'T ASK ME WHY) was I was getting my brother's CJ7 and my Grand Cherokee mixed up.

Sanger... if you aren't having any issues with your 95, I suspect I should just chill out and just get the tranny cooler. How much does your boat/trailer weigh again?

Sean

I've never pulled it over a scale, so I'm totally going off what the manufacturer says

hull and motor 2100
tandem steel trailer ~1000
24 gals fuel ~160
misc gear ~250

That'd total around 3500 pounds I guess

I can barely lift the tongue myself. I'd guess tongue weight at 150-200 pounds.
