Should the Government be able to take a percentage of Social Security/Disability benefits to pay delinquent college loans? Article on the Supreme Court decision.

The feds are also be allowed to garnish one's paycheck to recoup what they can of my money.<br />That would mean they can't go after the unemployed, but then, you can't get blood out of a turnip -- unless you garnish their welfare check.

A loan is a loan. Not paying it back is theft. Yeah, just throw em in jail and let us pay more to house them. After all we as the taxpayer is paying for what they should have been doing.<br /><br />I say take it anyway then can. They do for childsupport.

For some reason, there are a lot of folks (students) who think a student loan doesn't really have to be paid back. They are wrong and their defaults only go to deny this previledge to others who need it.
