Stuck axle bolt on transducer. Help!

Ran into a snag installing the transducer. The axle bolt running through the transducer securing it to the mounting plate tightened with about half an inch of play left. Now the nut is stuck and the hex key screw is starting to stip. Any ideas how to get her off?

Once she's off ill just run to lowes and grab a different bolt and nut.

I would hope the trailer was centered by the time the bunks were sticking out.
As long as you do not sink the trailer so far that the transom is floating, you should be OK.
Winch it on, don't float it on.

The transducer will need to be below the bottom of the Hull.
When the boat is moving, the water at the transom, above the hull, is a back-flowing vortex of water full of air bubbles.
Don't count on getting acceptable results unless the bottom half of the transducer is below the hull.
Sonar is not used at planing speed for much more than basic water depth.

Thanks! I will throw it on between the bunks tomorrow and just pull it on the trailer real slow.

It doesn't look like all that large of a boat.
Until you gain confidence in not wiping it out with the bunks;
Crank the boat on, but still about 4 inches short of the bow stop.
The bunks will still be under the hull but not sticking out the back.
Pull it out of the water and see if it is all lined up.
Finish cranking it all the way on after you confirm the position.

The real solution to this issue is to move the winch post back just enough so the stern is flush with the end of the bunks.

Once she's off ill just run to Lowe's and grab a different bolt and nut.

Hold the Nut in a vice, and drill the head of the Bolt OFF.
Use a drill that is just slightly larger than the threads of the bolt. if it is a 1/4 bolt, use a 9/32 drill.
Is is stainless so use a new drill, lots of oil and heavy pressure. If it spins, gets hot, and does not keep cutting,
the steel will work harden, and no drill will touch it after that!

If you can get under the head of the bolt, a cut off wheel on a dremel will be an easier fix.

I had the same thing happen when installing my transducer.
I had the sacrifice the Transom Mount. Humminbird replaced the Mount for free.
It is stainless and a Ny-Lock Nut, I still greased the bolt the second time!
