I've gotten used to the circle hooks over the last two seasons. I noticed the circle hooks with the upturned eyes seem to work best. I usually go through a lot of hooks where I fish so I try to buy the Eagle brand pack of 25, size 6/0 or 7/0. Using chunk bait or live bait they seem to work fine. I also feel more comfortable around my kids as they are 2 and 4 years old. I did notice using balloons or bobbers, try to use the smallest size possible to float your bait. If you get a strike with a large ballon, they tend to pull the bait out of thier mouth. Subtle nuances...
