That's the answer. The edges of the plywood were soaking up the resin and it dried out the cloth. I do have another question though. After you apply the resin and glass, is it a done deal or should I periodically make adjustments (add resin) throughout its curing period? And one more, when I lay up the stringers (since they will be vertical) should I thicken the mixture of the resin so it won't sag or run down to the hull? Thanks for taking the time to help me. Mark
Did you Precoat the wood with resin first? Did you fill all the voids, if any, on the edges first? If not on the first question, the wood will soak up all the resin and the glass will not adhere.
