Stringer Width?

Im replacing my stringers in my 77 Starcraft American, and have found through the forums that it seems most people have 3/4" stringers, while mine are 1/2". Seem normal to anyone? Any opinions?

Not highly unusual for older boats. You can make em 3/4" when you replace them. No problem.

Woody is correct......... they were originally built to save money and increase profit. I would suggest 3/4 too.
