The 1985-1987 OMC loopers were torque monsters. In 1988 they opened up the bore and added some electronic features like S.L.O.W. and Quick Start. Even more torque. I would highly recommend one given your requirements.
Then you definately want a looper. If the budget allows you might consider a 60 degree V4 from 1995 and newer. They are lighter, still make great torque and rev very quickly. Either would be a great choice.

Good luck!
Goodmorning Dhadley, would you clear something up for me,i have a model J130tleoa which is a1995.Did OMC make both 60 degree and 90degree loopers in 1995? my operation manual lists my engin as a 90 degree V, loop-charged yours truly J.C.
