Stingray 195LX - what's it worth?

I found a 2005 Stingray 195LX locally for sale with a bimini top, 2-piece cover, and trailer. Owner claims only 59 hours on clock. It has Merc 4.3/190hp. Asking $15,900. Seems a little high to me. I understand from reading on the web that this brand tends to have lighter hulls, thus better speed and fuel economy. Anyone have any comments on the value.

Thanks
DG

Stingrays are great used boats because they depreciate like crazy but more importantly is your location. I looked at Stingrays here in Minnesota and they were way more expensive than the identical model in the southern states. The new ones down south were the price of used ones here so I tried to negotiate a southern dealer price here in MN for a new one. The local dealer wouldn't do it. I brought in several internet postings from reputable southern stingray dealers and the local dealer said they had to be spoofs or bait and switches. Of course they weren't. Point is, every local market is different.
As to the hull, yes these boats are lightly constructed and have a stepped hull to achieve higher speeds. My heavy constructed boat rides and takes chop like a dream but is probably 10 clicks slower than that Stingray. There are tradeoffs for the light construction and stepped hulls however. Not knowing exactly where you are, my gut is that price is on the high side. I would shoot for mpi having owned that same motor for a year not. MPI is more available in the southern states as well at least IMO.

No they don't.

That price is WAY to high IMO, location or not!

Yes you are right. Same vein, not traditional hull but not a Regal either.
