I had a rack style system with a 12 ft cord on my fishing boat. I need to replace it since my boat drives like it's out of power steering fluid. Should I go with the rack style or the rotary style system? What's the benefit of both? Thanks!

Re: Steering System

Hands down rotary.

As TD said they are much easier to install and work so much better and are smoother, as the name implies, there is no feedback.

I went from a rack to rotary and was very suprised at how much difference there was and the rotary will last longer than a rack.
