Hi there, just bought this boat (1996 ski sanger), I have another thread on the stringer issue but I also have a stiff steering cable to deal with. I did some research online and a couple people say the cable is discontinued. The one in here is a quicksilver brand but I can't locate a part number anywhere. Anyone know what cable this is and if there is a replacement? I see there is a grease nipple on there. I guess I should fire some lubricant in there and see if that frees it up? I'm doubtful on that. 20240529_163639.jpgboat steering.jpg20240529_171803.jpg

There's little to no chance of finding a brand new cable that fits into the helm pictured

You're looking at a new cable, helm and possibly steering wheel

And no, cable you linked to will not directly replace the current one

Ayuh,...... By the grease fitting, loosen that nut on the cable, then pull that end of the cable out of the aluminum tube, 'n clean out the tube,......
That's where they tend to corrode up, 'n drag,....
