Starter won't rewind

Good evening. I'll start with the good news: after rebuilding my carb, replacing the spark plugs, checking the coils, and changing the lower unit oil, my motor was ready to go for the summer. She fired up on the second pull. The bad news is, on the third pull the recoil spring in the pull starter broke. Does anyone know if they make new replacement springs and what the part number might be. Or should I just look for a salvaged one?

They do make replacement springs. However to help you out we really need to know the model number of your outboard.

Oops. I guess putting the model number completely slipped my mind. It's 15016, a 1956 Evinrude Fastwin 15. I believe I found what I'm looking for, but you guys might let me know if I'm wrong; it looks like sierra number 18-6501 will work. Thanks.
