Starter Squeaking

I have a 50hp FI Force motor. Just last year i had the starter replaced and it worked great all summer. At the end of the summer it just stoped working, its making a loud squeeking noise now and even thought its geting enuff power its still not working. I tried to put some oil around the middle shaft and it helped but it wasn't enuff. Do i need a new starter?

Please describe "not working" in more detail.

Its the starter It will pop up and crank a little bit, wont turn over and the noise is definitly coming from the starter. Spark plugs and battery are good.

I ended up just taking the starter apart and just wiping the inside magnets and all the electrics. I pute it all together and now its working prity good.
