Can I replace a starter motor on my 3ltr mercruiser my starter motor has 9 teeth on the bendix the new one I have bought has 11teeth the bolt holes are in line will this work

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... If they are both the straight across bolt pattern, yes, it'll work just fine,....

Just make sure that the bolts you use are the correct length (not too long) or else the starter can shift and break the bolts…and that’s a big mess to fix!
