I would check out the transom and make sure it isn't treated (as it says it was replaced). Paint job looks nice . I don't know anything about the stinger motors compression test couldn't hurt. It seems some of the later 70's had poured in foam so if resto is needed (floor soft) might be a pita not sure. If its solid and runs I think its worth the money and looks nice in the pics. If its a resto
idk if I would spend that much (but I live in starcraft heaven and don't know about the sc's in your market) If it's close go look at it:)

wonder what i could get for a stripped down 18 ft ss hull with rivets and seams sealed,transom replaced, new decking ( cut but un-installed ), and a good roller trailer if i go for this beast

Who Knows how much you could get, try $1700.00.

I just bought a 25' Chieftain Express. I hope I like it. I pick it up July 3rd Its only a 750 mile trek one way, 1500 round trip. I first saw it here on this Tread. I was originally looking for a Chieftain Mark IV. After I checked them both out I thought the Express was a better fit. Who knows maybe I will get a Mark IV in the future.

I have been eye balling this since last summer. 21 ft is way longer (and bigger) than I think I need but who says you "think" when your talking aluminum, HP, and water, hmmmm? :D

Got to think something is up when its only 2100.00 with such a nice OB? Right?

Thats not bad at all..Shame they dont mention ANYTHING about the motor or what shape it is in..
also..I HATE talking to women when buying a boat..
Oh, it's my husbands, he just fixed something, I dont know what, but its a GREAT boat! He's not here now..

Well CBK, at least it didn't have the " It ran great X years ago last time we took it out" statement. I know what you mean, I'm looking for a tinny and most seem to be up North, though I have seen some down your way. I don't want to be too far from the Atlanta area with a rusted trailer with new tires put on put on 10 years ago. Why is it that time, decay and depreciation stop as soon as a boat/trailer is parked? The Mysteries Of Life I guess.
