It would cost me to much money to drive back and pick it up, but it sure would be a fun one to play with.

There was one like that up in Fargo ND last year, only not the ugly paint, and IIRC had a 350 Chev Mercruiser driving it.

If I do another refurbish/customization... I'd like something in the 22-24' foot range... modify it to a center console and make it a saltwater boat. My plans are to retire to FLA or thereabouts and be somewhere where I can fish everyday. Maybe even go out a few miles offshore to natural and man made reefs. Seems like most go fiberglass for SW fishing though....

saw one on a vintage boats FB page this morning. 18' holiday with a running 140 mercruiser for $800, including trailer.

If it was abandoned, should not be that hard to get a title on it, at least it wasn't when I lived in WA

Not if it's been left by someone else and guy has no claim to the boat, he would need to have the boat/trailer inspected by LE as a hulk vehicle and then send out a letter to the last owner. If no reply then the hulk inspection form becomes the title.

The price is probably OK, what a way with words. For example - "There are plenty of the 22 foot Holiday cabin cruisers, but very few of these Chris Craft style skiffs."

Oh boy and he's one heck of a photographer too

Just the pic everyone is looking for when buying a boat.

The last property I bought in WA there were 3 vehicles left by the previous owners of the property, I did send them a letter about all three, then filed a lien on them for storage and finally got ownership papers from the DMV to dispose of them as my own. I signed off the paperwork and the new owners got a clear title from the state. I just wanted them gone, but I could have also applied for a title and they would have issued new ones to me.

Here in MT you file for a bonded title, they issue it and if no claims are made in 2 years on it, then they issue a new title of full ownership on it.
