ok all those were for you folks. I answered my own question on a bigger Holiday but this one has an I/O. This is exactly what I am looking for in space - large, lots of room in back. How hard is a conversion to outboard?

Tell me why you would want to switch from a fuel sipping straight 6 I/O to a fuel gussling, smoking O/B;):D

[h=2]18' Starcraft Aluminum Supersport project - $1500[/h] [FONT=&quot]If you are a Starcraft fan this 1978 Supersport is a rare find. It needs some restoration but has a very nice original hull with no damage. It will need a transom which is not hard to replace on these boats. Fresh water boat from North Carolina with clear title . Very road worthy trailer with spare and registration.

My buddy in tampa will be looking at this one ... splashwell looks ok no stress?
My only concern is the title. He says it has a clear NC title, but the boat was obviously last registered in SC.

Lemme know if you need to store it... I know a place! :D

I was thinking about a place you might know of....

And of course title doesn't bother me, it helps in the pricing tho'

$700 does sound high, esp w no motor or mention/pix of the trailer.

Hope a Sawzall savant doesnt get it and attempt to 'convert' it for fishing

Plenty of generic, derelict boats around for that.

Ya but it doesn't, the ad is wrong, it has a Mercruiser 898, which is a 305 Chev at just under 200 hp.
(unless of course it has had an engine swap, but even then to get 350 hp takes a big block and that is a small block, a 350 is 260 hp.)

Man that's why I love the 4.3L V6's so much power for the weight. Maybe one day when mines tired I'll upgrade to vortec heads, performer AL intake manifold and AL exhaust manifolds to put me at 225 or so HP and loose 100 Lbs of cast iron at the stern.
