That's a very historic operation, and not a bad price as businesses go. In the 1950's my first boat was a Grumman canoe my dad bought for me, and I still own a Grumman Sport Boat. I hope they find an excited new owner.

Sprint ad has the ID plate, lists it as Sprint-V 15, so probably 14ft 9in or 14ft 6in.

Thanks, I didn't think you usually see a 14 footer rated for 65 hp, although it's the "old" rating. An old 65 must be pretty heavy. And surprised at the 6 person, 2000 lb. capacity rating too. My 15' Jet Star was only rated for 45 hp, it didn't say a persons/max weight amount on the plate.

I think the hull sides are higher on a Sprint..... more freeboard. Wider beam too..

Yup, it does look deeper. Also just noticed that the Sprint transom height is 21"; my Jet Star was 15" before I modified it.

3200 for a project boat?

I thought the Iron Duke was a straight 6 and that there was never a marinized version offered for use in boats?

Way too much for that boat,

Iron Dukes are 4 bangers and were never marinized. For some reason people like to mistakenly call any GM 4 cylinder an Iron Duke.

I think because they are both GM 2.5 L 4cyl cast iron lumps made in Mexico.
