With NY registration numbers on it. Yeah, that may be a bit of a hassle to register

no problem in tennessee notarized bill of sale and a trip to the courthouse to pay the tax and you are on the water 30 days later.

That's OK, Sig. The searching frenzy for tinnies is kinda like a school of piranha and a baby pig falling into the Amazon. Except the second time the Mob tosses you into the river.

The real scary thing is if I am doing a restoration on a Starcraft currently and can't tell the difference between glass and TIN that resto might fall into the OOOOPPPSSSS category

No mention of paper work. Here in GA, I reg'ed mine with a phone call, faxed copy of the notarized bill of sale and a credit card. I was good to hit the water in less than 30 minutes with a 60 day temporary registration. Permanent rego was a hull inspection by DNR who stuck a GA HIN on her then I got the 3 year sticker about a week later. My boat came from a title state (SC) and the seller had nada. Trailer was about the same except I went to the county tag office with the trailer bill of sale, had the VIN verified and was on the road in about 15 minutes. I might have been lucky. :)

18' Starchief (?) for $2200

".this is NOT a parts boat so I will not take $400.."

do you think that he's been contacted by this crowd before

it is ready for water...had it out first week of August and ran great..

Something tells me he's been trying to sell since Fall. Wonder if $500 would take her away? A so-so boat, I wouldn't pay $2200 - but I'm not in the market.

Typical unrealistic seller. It's not a Ferrari. I will say it's a nice looking boat.

Instrument panel is all new with new Fiera guages

For all the money he spent to have somebody do all the work, you would think he would have used some good gauges like Faria, instead of off-brand Fiera.

Just a few from my neighborhood...nothing that really jumps out at me.

I think I found the twin to that NY/Alabama boat: 14 FT Aluminum Starcraft Holiday

Cool little cruiser...I love the formed aluminum bench seats: Antique 1957 Starcraft Coup

I guess if you're really into duck hunting you might pay half this amount...or if you really lowballed you could make this into a nice boat: 21 ft Starcraft duck boat 135 Mercury

It's a cool boat with all that junk removed, but maybe worth closer to $1000?

This one's been for sale for almost a year. Nice boat, overpriced: You could be fishing right now!!!

Nice boat, overpriced again: 18' starcraft holiday

New tiller tinnie, great motor...but I could never personally justify the price, even if it's a fair deal: 2006 Starcraft V Hull 11'7" with 2006 6hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboard

Ya beat mine, Chem. Yours comes with a pup tent and a better trailer. But my find is cheaper.

The '57 would be a cool summer tin boat meet cruiser.

At least these are reasonable, honest offerings. That SS set up for trolling is really nice and appears to have good power, but $5g?

I just cringe when I see these. I have a 21' Mariner that was original and splash ready and paid 75% what he is asking. Came with a V90 and a 7.5 kicker. Is a 4 stroke 6hp Yammy really worth $2000. Is a 12' tinny w/ trailer worth $800?

Not to me for either. Yeah, it's new, but around here, and most other places, I reckon, that's a camp boat. $500 tops with a running 2 stroke. People don't scour CL for new boat prices. And it's got the classic "I'm not in a hurry so don't lowball." If you're gonna spend that much coin, go to a dealer and get a Yammy with a warranty, then find a 12' tinny for under $200 with a trailer. Preaching to the choir here....

Want. So cool.

Tell you what, EZ. Send the funds and I'll pick her up and hold her for you. I will perform though water testing until you come for her. :) It's the least I can do for a fellow Mobster. Hope it snows in PA til October. :D

BTW - I misread the price. Asking $7900.
