That's why no 40 acres & a mule anytime soon around here either. Just more room for me to pile up more (larger) stuff:facepalm:

Here is a 1964 18' Starchief with an Evinrude 75 and trailer in Cleveland. Looks awful dusty and needs work. No price but might make someone a nice project. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/boa/3174874442.html

This one is a nice looking 16' SS in Chicago. Well all except the Merc 50 painted red, what's wrong with Phantom Black IMHO? And undercoating on the hull interior and this experienced boat re-builder (the ad says about 20 restos a year) used PT. $2600. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/boa/3174278952.html

Is the windshield laid back that far? Or perspective? Ad says asking $1000.... Needs 2 of 4 tires replaced @ trailer..

http://elpaso.en.craigslist.org/boa/3180550573.html. going to look at this on the way home. seriously doubt it's a SC but i want a 14' and this one is cheap and local. anyone have any input, good bad or indifferent?

Is $325 a good deal w/out motor & trailer (whether you need/want them or not) in EP?

It doesn't look beat, but we can't see the underside.... The inside seems well kept.. Should be a quick transom redo if needed....

JB--

if it has title, that's tolerable price altho not a steal. not many tinnies here in the desert.....nearest "real" lake is 100 miles away. much more selection in ABq but then i'd need to explain to SWMBO what that shiny thing in the back of the truck was. there's actually a STARCRAFT right here in my little town of 5000 but it's a 12' and i already have the 12' portabote....a little tight for two well-over-6-footrs plus fishing and offshore safety gear.

yah, i laugh at the idea of transom redo in a 14' skiff nowadays........i'd probably want to add a floor too, just to make the job more difficult.

It's a lot harder than it looks. I heard it takes a man and a boy to lift those transoms out.;)

Hold out for a 14' Barato, so much more boat.
