Ok. I have e-mailed the guy in Toledo with the 25' Chieftan. Any recommendations on questions when I get hold of him. Will have to purchase sight unseend as I am in Tulsa, OK. DOn't think I can go too wrong at the price.

Smokes! That is a heck of a drive to retrieve that big tub!

I agree with ya, at that price it's tough to go wrong on that rig. I'm sure she isn't a beauty queen but so long as the engine/drive check and you can make it home on that trailer, sweet!:D

Looks like a great deal there. If you need any help let me know. Toledo is not too far away from Detroit. I agree you can't miss at that price.

I would count on replacing tires and repacking bearing prior to hauling it back to OK. After you seal the deal I would ask what size tires are on the trailer and repalce them, unless owner tells you they are A1.

The best deals on mounted boat wheels in the Toledo and SE Michigan area are at Belle Tire stores. What Wal-Mart wants for B range tire and wheel is $60+ in the 4.80 X 12 size, Belle has in the better quality C load range for $40. Then by joining the Belle on-line club for free, every month you get a coupon for $20 off anything i.e. great way to re-wheel and get a spare or two for us locals. I live near Toledo and Belle has been great to deal with. Wal Mart or Harbor Freight are about the best local prices on LED lights if you need to redo those. Harbor Freight has some knock-offs of bearing buddies but I don't know the quality. Temperatures around here have been dropping, some frost on the windshields and grass in the mornings. That will be an incredible boat for big water once fixed up. Regards, John

Great Kev. Got you a little tinny again and lived up to your nick. Not bad looking either.

Wrong Teamster. We skip the glassers (unless someone is looking for one or really interesting) and RVs.

EDIT - And pontoons. We have class, you know. :D

EDIT - And just because we don't normally post glassers doesn't mean we don't like them.

EDIT - Here's one for you http://louisville.craigslist.org/boa/2670874659.html

Nice score. Not to be a wet blanket but you won't like that shallow one nearly as much as your deep LoneStar. If I were you I'd plan on flippin' this one was as well after having some fun with it.

Found a 75 16' closed bow, I guess a Holiday? with a trailer, no power for $250, anyone interested, here is the link

http://nmi.craigslist.org/boa/2674309685.html

If it was an SS, would already have purchased it to convert to a single console fish only rig.

Not a Starcraft, but there is a 19' Crestliner similar to a Chief/Islander available, comes with 135hp Rude
and a bonus 85hp Rude, and owner says trailer is solid, lots of stuff for $500. Very tempted, but posting the link
as some of you may be interested in the net cost after any sell-offs????

Talked to the guy, they have newer boats so this is their reject. He sent me pics via phone.
