WELCOME ABOARD!!!
You are in the right place (well website) for owning a Starcraft. Your model is a SuperSport, a great boat and as long as your not overloaded with too many people and gear, will plane out, but wont be a rocket on the water.

Sharp looking SS ya got there, that 35hp will be VERY good on fuel for cruising around. Might need a bit more to plane her out, but if you get it trimmed right and balanced weight on board she will scoot.:D

I had a 74, 16' starcraft with a 87, 75 yamaha 2, stroke - it was rated for a 50. It would do 43mph I'm sure yours will plane!
Good Luck with it - nice boat.

We had a 70 15ft Nova with a 67 40hp Evinrude. It did fine with up to about 3 people and light luggage. It was difficult to balance the load with a bench rear seat.I cut the rear seat in half and put it behind the swivel front buckets, then put a 12 gal. tank under the bow.A 50 made it a very pleasant performer.
