I've been looking at threads on here for a while now. Just thought I would start thread and post pictures of my Project. Tell me what you think. Thanks...

I'm wondering what that big square hole in the transom is for??? I'm also wonderin if you are planning on putting in some Knee braces and what size motor you're planning on hanging on her?

Have 2 knee braces cut out of 3/16 aluminum and a 24x24 piece of 1x4 aluminum to mount to transom bolted through to 80hp mercury. And tie other end to stringers. Got more pictures will post tonight. Square hole is for gas fill.

Hmm, kinda looked like pressure treated, unsealed.

I'm looking...

It sorta looks like you sunk rivets all around the old stringer drive cut out, is that right? So are they kinda digging into the backside of your transom?

No rivets diging into transom have piece of aluminum cut to fit around rivets and sandwiched between transom wood and transom aluminum
