Thanks. No real fishing yet. Maybe soon.
Weather sucks for next 7 days and so does work

Thanks for the ideas. I am working on my boat now and I like how the transom turned out.

If air temp stays greater than 40 degrees and water temp is around 40, I will try night fishing on the boat

I fired up the lighting tonight. I see i have some tweaking to do on the lighting. I can see I will have to "aim" led to increase floor lighting

Night fishing near my house is probably about 30 days from prime. I think early December is best.
Wednesday the weather will be most favorable -40 degrees and a southern wind

Here is a video a couplenyears ago explaining the night fishing -

Pulled the Humminbird 8 series from my old boat and installed in the fishmaster. I was able to mount the gps puck under the dash and still get excellant signal. Head was mounted using a ram mount.

Congrats on the splash, Sam! I love the utility of your boat. I'm sure it will serve you well on the big pond. I fish solo a lot as well, and in the winter, but never at night. You're a braver man than myself! Good luck getting some gold! They're making a comeback here on Champlain but I've yet to boat one.

Enjoy your FM!

Not much to report today. Weather has been decent - no moisture and 30 degree temps

My buddy recommended a stabilizer for the front trolling motor - the stabilizer will keep the trolling motor head and shaft from bouncing around

Dang they are expensive. I found a great buy
On ebay

Working down on the check list. Weather is changing tonight for snow. I am going to have to put the boat away in storage for a month or three

Got to take the boat out today and try fishing in it. Air temp 44, water temp 38 - PERFECT for 1/9/2016 Lake Erie. Fishing in January!

Big motor needs some adjustments - throttle linkage - hit top speed today 33 mph
Kicker motor works great -
Trolling motor working great

Fish Finder transducer placement - perfect
