Yes, another Starcaft! I picked this sweethart up last weekend. Wanting to do a center console and outboard with extended brackets. Cant wait to get started!

What is the best way to post pics, I tried Skippers advise and turn of the enhanced attachmment loading but it still asked for a url? Thanks

That rig looks ready to go with a bracket and outboard. As mentioned, many have discussed this but few have done it.

Love that industrial-strength ladder on the transom.

Nice project! Is that pour-in-foam peeking out from under the stringer in pic 1?

You going to tear it right down to the hull and start over?

Yes down to the hull and back up. This is my second starcraft first being a 88 chieftain, new transome, deck and full engine overhaul, plus custom to with rocket launchers. Tried to attach as emage but have to do it using paper clip?

Found a Donner boat for the outboad conversion, 495.00 dollars at auction, Bayliner 15 foot runabout 85 force power tilt but maybe not a good deal, low compression on top and bottom cylinders. center plug threads gone, I think I can do a helicoil repair?
I know people complain about force engines, but those who own them say they are simple and good engines if they have been cared for.
I pulled the head and did not see anything scary on the cylinders maybe just broken or stuck rings? Can these cylinders be bored oversize, with out plateing ? I'll order a manual tomorrow

I ordered an manual to overhaul the force 85, anyone know ifthe cylinders need a plating like a bike has or are they just borable steel?
My 16 year old got started today on removing the interior during his spring break.
