Remember one word... "CALPHALON"<br /><br />Beyond question the best set of cookware we have ever owned. It hard anodized aluminum. <br /><br />Made here in Toledo, Ohio! (Cheap plug)<br /><br />And no, I don't work for them!

Boomyal,<br /> Nothing wrong with soap and water on well-seasoned cast iron. My Mom and Grandmom, rest their souls, always washed their cast iron. I do also. My Grandmom occasionally used to build a fire out back and throw hers in to remove the seasoning and start over. Seasoning can always be re-done.
