Squeaky Teleflek Steering

I have a 2000 Sea Ray with a Teleflex single cable steering rack that has the tilt mechanism and power assist. I can't see a model number so hopefully this is enough description to ID it. The steering is a little loose, which I can live with but it recently started squeaking and its really irritating. I haven't taken it apart yet to see what's causing it so I thought I would ask first if its a common problem, if its fixable or needs to be replaced. Also a diagram of how it's attached would be helpful.

If it is squeaking at the helm, pull the cable out and grease it and the helm.

If it is squeaking presently, address it ASAP. Because that means there is metal against metal and that will wear quickly. A steering issue is nothing to overlook. No telling what condition it is in. JMHO!
