So…surprise surprise…just ran the prop slip calculations. Just ridiculous .
5 blade is showing nearly 30% slip. Sharrow showing an impossible 0% slip. Honestly guys…they need to have a word with themselves. Embarrassing show.
Just utterly ridiculous and should be ashamed of themselves. Do they honestly think the general consumer is that silly ?

In a word, yes..... it doesnt take much looking to see that the general consumer really isnt that informed about "anything" and even a "shred" of truth by someone who comes off with authority will be followed by some with no more thought.

I’m a huge fan of props and their evolving technology too. If this is a great prop…then show it as such. Don’t tailor tests to their severe advantage. Especially this latest one. It’s just utterly ridiculous.

But my boats slip vary. Of the three currently…they stand between just under 4%-6% at their best usually.
To suggest that 30% is “conventional” is just off the chart silly. Most boats will be around 8-15% I’d think.

my take on it is this. If this really was the best thing since sliced bread in the marine world, some "obscure" internet testing site wouldnt have to make their silly videos. There are people and businesses out there that a miniscule improvement in speed or efficiency means MILLIONS of dollars to them. If they arent buying into the prop, then likely there is a reason for it. Some will say that its that they havent been exposed to it, but in truth, those types spend MILLIONS to find technologies such as these, that if they actually worked would save them the development costs many times over in saved fuel and time. That this isnt being touted by anyone else is enough of a BS detector for me.

Yeah. The same way a flying pig, flies better than me also . You’ll likely be aware…but in case you aren’t…0% slip..is an impossible result. Not to mention that the speed used for the calculation, was the average speed…so the max speed they reported to have achieved, would be in negative slip…if they can achieve that…then they are wasting their time with props…they should focus on never ending energy generation and money growing trees…world peace too haha.

There is no arguing with physics and mathematics, I’m afraid. If we were just bashing or mouthing off, you’d have a point…but I’m afraid the numbers don’t lie. What the numbers are claiming currently…is on a par with other things that break the laws of the known universe…like time travel, teleportation and eternal life. Things like that.
