I'm new to this forum and reading some of the responses to questions I see a lot of knowledge and experiance from the members. i have a 89 champion and the blue arrow on one side has turned silver. I have a couple questions about glitter,
Minicraft has a glitter that is foil based and I see some Champion colors but they are more geared for the professional. I have found another site that has polyester glitter that they say is solvent resistant and used in boat repairs. Does anyone have opinions on what glitter to use? The stripe also has two 1/4" black pin stripes that I was planning on taping off. spraying the blue glitter and pulling the tape. When do you pull the tape?
Are there any good books or sites with step by step instructions on spraying gel coat? What grit to sand the repair area with before spraying the first coat, does the glitter lay flat on its own? I see some info on a small repair where they cover the glitter with wax paper or saran wrap to smooth and flatten the glitter,
I'm sorry if this is to long of a post if someone advises me on length of posts or how to ask questions I will be sure to do that in future questions.
Thanks Wayne
