sport twin 10 evinrude

hey guys, a buddy just gave an old evinrude sport twin 10 motor. he claims it works. i was wondering if anyone had any info on it. the serial # starts with 10012. any idea what year it is? thanks

She is a 1956...did you get the pressure tank with it?

HI Scot66. Welcome to Iboats. Great little motor you got there. I used to have a '61 10 hp Johnson that was great. About the only weak spot on them is the clutch dog, which can become worn over time. Pretty solid otherwise. Here's a great link that will help you get it up and running in no time. You can get most routine parts right here at iboats too. Holler if you get stuck.
