admin5<br /> I like the new sections, like some of the others said it makes it easier to follow up on threads.

Thanks for the comments so far. I hope that I haven't offended anyone yet becuase I have moved their ad to another area.<br /><br />As for Heinz's post please note: If you post the original ad you can check the send an email notification box below the instand ubb code area and you will get notified each time you have someone respond to you. As for if you reply to a forum already in progress, sorry there are no notifications for that available.

Admin5 <br />like the new format. Another idea you may want to consider is subdivding the outbord and inboard sections by make. Is there any way we could have chat or some type of instant messageing?

The segmentation is no problem, makes sense and you can still search "all open boards". I think one reason why the search function does not get used as often as everyone would like is that its kinda tiny. A big yellow pair of binocs flashing "search" or something to highlight the function more may help. Like most on the board I am interested in my particular setup as well as those of my buddies. I regularly search for new ways to de carbonize a Force to help out a friend with one as well as tips on my mercruiser. The only down side I can see is that it may be more difficult to help others. There is a tendency to hang on a specific board, whereas I could answer, and have answered, OB questions etc. :(

Admin5, so far, so good. I like it for the same reasons as JB.

What happened to the list of members logged on? It was an easy way to follow posts I made and see the chain of others.

I like it but then I'm biased. Now I can follow a couple of boards instead of just one. I'm also finding stuff (I think) I can help on more easily. :)

I don't want to promise anything, but we are looking into a solution for you all to post photos through us!!! The biggest issue will be to make sure it will not be abused. The reason why I took the who's come around lately is that it was not working properly and only showed 1/5 of the actual people on the boards at a given time since we use a server cluster and the program was not designed for that kind of configuration. What does this mean? Bring on the posts and traffic but we may not have a few bells and whistles.

I like the idea of a watch list. Is there any way that we could track the threads that we replied to instead of having to go back eight and ten pages to find out if the trouble has been solved?

fireman 757<br />There is a very easy way to keep track of intresting topics: Save it under "Favorites" or "Bookmarks". That works for me (Internet Explorer). Create a new folder like "iboats" or... If it works for you that would be great. Then it is easy to give some feedback when problems is solved. We are all here to help and learn (or learn and help). If we will see more feedback we all win.<br /><br />Oh yes, the splitting. It works fine. A little less traffic now a days than some months ago when this idea first came up, right? Or is it thanks to the split?<br /><br />In a few months every one knows what year every motor was built and no one forgets to drain the garbs before storage. What shall we talk about then? See ya in the all new Knitting forum :D <br /><br />Bear
