Can someone please help me.. I have a 2005 Yamaha 115 outboard that that came with the 2006 Century 1902 boat.. I've seen videos of the speedo tube where it connected into the lower unit, my out board doesn't have one maybe its broken? I bought the petot connector and would like to fix this myself but don't have an idea to where the black tube goes connected into under the console.

I have no idea if you are looking for the place to hook it into on the console or at the motor from what you wrote

Typically connects to back of pressure type speedometer. In my experiences the built in pito's on the lower units seem to clog easily, I prefer the seperate unit that mounts on the transom. But wirh GPS units giving speed, why bother ??

A short section of tubing runs from the lower unit to inside the cowling. From there the short section of tubing connects to a longer section that runs from the motor to the boat and on up to the speedometer.

I just recently replace my transom mounted speedometer and connected it to the rear of the lowrance head unit now I have to figure how to program the unit to read the speed SOG?

Because GPS does not give one speed through the water.

Depends upon what speed the user wants.

No airplane will ever land using GPS speed.

were are driving boats, not landing aircraft , there is no reason to need to know exact speed, sticking a wet finger in the air will give an indication of too fast or too slow.

common sense will usually keep the fines or abuse from other boaters from happening.

i have what i call the flapometer IE; when my checks flap i know i am around 70mph. eyes watering 80+.

OP , the pitot tube speedo was never that accurate or reliable for that matter ( a grain of sand or some seaweed and there goes your speedo), , forget the tube set up and get a $10 gps from fleabay or use your smart phone and stick it on the dash in a holder.
