I’m plotting a course from Annapolis to Solomons, a distance of 30 miles.

I burn 0.5 gallon per mile at cruise (30 mph) as calculated by Flo-Scan system.

How long will it take me and how much fuel will I burn in the process of getting there running 30 mph pitot speed?

How long and how much using gps input?

Stated accuracy of pitot speed input?
Would hate to see the size of the pitot tube on an aircraft carrier….lol

Simple, e=mc2 minus the rotation of the earth, taking into account the moons effect on tide, and add 2, just because, heck, your already there with 0 gas burnt. look at you. lol

Just listen to your wife, partner ( had to put that in because, these days ) TOO FAST, TOO FAST, TOO SLOW, TOO SLOW. works for me. ( usually, i do the opposite, thats just me )

Some more modern engines don’t have the pitot pickup external evident. Rather a hole and ran internally then with a fitting under the hood perhaps.
